Pension Program A
IMPORTANT NOTICE: This is the Summary Plan Description (“SPD”) of the Building Service 32BJ Pension Fund (“the Plan”). It is only a brief summary of the most important provisions of the Plan. Your rights to benefits will be governed by the official rules and regulations of the Plan, as interpreted by official action of the Board of Trustees (“the Board”). Nothing in this summary will modify or change the official rules and regulations of the Plan. If there is any conflict between the terms of the official rules and regulations of the Plan and this booklet, the official rules and regulations will control. The official rules and regulations of the Plan are available from the Compliance Office at the address printed in the "Plan Facts" section. In addition, the Board reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to amend the Plan at any time, subject to the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreements.

Is this your plan?
In general, members working in residential and commercial buildings in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island are covered by the Building Service 32BJ Pension Fund (Program A).
There is also another pension plan, Program B, which covers members working in Long Island. Some members of Local 32BJ are covered by other pension funds. If you are not sure which plan you are in, please consult the Pension Plan Finder, check with your union delegate/steward, consult your contract, or call Member Services at 212-388-3500.
