Quality Provider Finder Tool
The 32BJ Health Fund has developed a new program to help you find “high quality” Empire POS network doctors in your area. To most, quality health care means doing the right thing at the right time, in the right way, for the right person and having the best possible results.
Although we would like to think that every doctor, hospital and other provider gives high-quality care, this is not always so. Quality varies, for many reasons.
Fortunately, there are tools available that can be used to measure health care quality. These tools, called “measures”, have mostly been used by health professionals who use them to check up on and improve the quality of care they provide.
The Health Fund has assembled lists of doctors and other health care providers whom agencies like the National Committee for Quality Assurance have named as “high quality providers”.
The Health Fund is not rating these providers or determining whether these providers are “high quality” or not, nor is the Health Fund involved in the creation of the ratings or information regarding any provider. The Health Fund is merely passing along such information and quality ratings from well-accredited third-party agencies for its members’ convenience.
The Health fund has organized the data it collected into a “star” rated system in which three stars represents the “highest” level of quality and one star represents “high” quality as determined and reported by such third-party agencies. The tool below will return all providers meeting your search criteria sorting them by quality first and then geography.
It should be noted that many providers (regardless of their “quality” level) will not be recognized in these rankings. There are several reasons for this, including that: some specialties do not lend themselves to rankings; some agencies require a provider to apply and the provider simply may not have applied; and some agencies may not have enough data collected to make a determination
Even though we feel it is valuable for our members to be aware of these types of health care quality rankings, this information is not an endorsement, warranty or guarantee of a particular provider’s suitability for your needs.
THE HEALTH FUND IS NOT ENGAGED IN RENDERING OR PROVIDING MEDICAL ADVICE, RECOMMENDATIONS, DIAGNOSIS OR TREATMENT. THE PROVIDER LOOKUP TOOL IS MADE AVAILABLE FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. YOU SHOULD NOT RELY ON ANY OF THE INFORMATION MADE AVAILABLE THROUGH THIS TOOL TO REPLACE OR SUBSTITUTE FOR CONSULTATIONS WITH QUALIFIED HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS TO MEET YOUR INDIVIDUAL NEEDS. PATIENTS AND THEIR CARETAKERS SHOULD CONSULT WITH A QUALIFIED HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONAL BEFORE UNDERTAKING ANY TREATMENT OR COURSE. WE DO NOT WARRANT OR MAKE ANY REPRESENTATION REGARDING THE USE OR RESULS OF THE USE OF THIS PROVIDER LOOK UP TOOL IN TERMS OF ACCURACY OR RELIABLILITY. YOU SHOULD NOT RELY ON THE TOOL TO MAINTAIN ANY DATA OR INFORMATION YOU SUBMIT; YOU SHOULD RETAIN ALL SUCH DATA AND INFORMATION IN YOUR OWN RECORDS FOR USE IN THE EVENT THAT THE SITE FAILS OR IS UNAVAILABLE, OR THE DATA OR INFORMATION IS LOST. THE PROVISION OF INFORMATION VIA THIS TOOL DOES NOT EXPRESS OR IMPLY ANY CONTROL, ENDORSEMENT, PROMOTION OR AFFILIATION WITH ANY OF THE HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS THAT MAY BE RATED, RANKED OR RECOMMENDED THEREIN.
The Health Fund goes to great strides to ensure the information on this site is accurate, however, you are encouraged when making an appointment with a health care provider to confirm with the provider before you receive treatment that he/she is currently participating in a Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield plan. In addition, Hospital Affiliation displayed on this page doesn't indicate the hospital is in-network for this plan.
